Ka Da Mi Zwin (Knowledge)

our vision: kadamizwin (pronounced; qa-dah-my-zeen), means 'knowledge' in the native language of the anishnawbe people. kadamizwin is a healing house for all. it is a place for wellness and self-healing who have struggle with substance abuse and mental health. substance abuse and suicide have been on the rise over the last few years, especially in the indigenous communities. often times these people suffer alone and in silence. at kadamizwin, we want to break that silence and begin the cycle of healing. kadamizwin is grounded by our 3 pillars of healing: care: we start by getting to know you, and then structure a program using a variety of traditional teachings and healing practices that focus on anishnawbemowin (language), land and lodges. counselling: we know the journey to recovery and self-healing is long. so after the care program, we offer after-care counselling and support to help develop coping strategies community: we work with a network of partners to help re-integrate and
