kaffé fair er en social økonomisk virksomhed. det betyder at vi er "non-proft" og at vi arbejder for at fremme beskæftigelse og unges mulighed for uddannelse. et eventuelt overskud geninvesteres i vores formål. kaffé fair er ejet af daghøjskolen fokus der er hjemmehørende i aalborg kommune. vi driver café-, konference- og kantinevirksomhed på 3 adresser. vi har indgået rammeaftaler med aalborg kommune. henholdsvis jobcenteret og ældre-/handicapforvaltningen. kaffé fair blev etableret i 2006 med støtte fra eu socialfonden. siden 2008 har virksomheden været bæredygtig og uafhængig af tilskudsmidler. i 2014 blev kaffé fair tildelt 2,9 mio. kr. af den obelske familiefond. penge er givet med henblik på at udvide målgrupperne og etablere en kantine der primært beskæftiger handicappede i skånejobs. kaffé fair udbyder oplæringsforløb for unge der modtager "uddannelsesydelse". forløbene varer i gennemsnit ét år og omfatter praktisk træning i køkkendrift samt kompetencegivende undervisning
