kalaghar is inspired by the concept of ‘arte util’ which means useful art. bringing a revival in the handicrafts of odisha, chattisgarh and west bengal with new product ideas and designs is our goal. we work with grass-root level artists, ngos and self-help groups by helping them in understanding contemporary and urban tastes and preferences at the same time retaining the art forms history and legacy. we complement their skills and art of embellishment with modern designs and ideas to create a rich spectrum of products that meet the needs of the urban audience.
