kalasadan institute of fine arts was established on 1st may, 1954 by guru shri mani in the lively city of mumbai with the aim of promoting the south indian classical art form of bharatanatyam and carnatic classical music to the masses in its most approachable and accessible way. the idea of founding this institution as visualized by guruji is to preserve and propagate india's traditional performing arts in its divine and dignified forms and provide opportunity for the common man to learn and pursue these arts. he founded the institution with the idea of reaching the art form to the masses where the talent lies. kalasadan's services, started by late guru shri mani, are being continued by his sons- natrajgopal (raja), daughters- sharada & uma, sons in law- ganesan & narainswamy, grand son sriram & grand daughter nandini. in the last 68 years, kalasadan has established a niche in its solo, group and dance drama presentations which have been appreciated and applauded by all. kalasadan
