welcome to my online studio. every piece you see in my shop is handcrafted with different types of discarded materials from fashion industry. sample fabrics, excess materials, cut mistakes, off cuts, end of the rolls, dye mistakes and the list go on. in sri lanka, we get a huge amount of unused textile waste since we are a fashion manufacturing hub. there are small vendors who sell those discarded fabrics. all the materials used in my work are handpicked pieces from those vendors including the buttons and other trims. back in my studio, i mix and match the pieces and convert them into artisanal clothing; using different techniques of patchwork, hand embroidery, creative pattern making and traditional tailoring. i always work for the comfortability and longevity of the pieces, and try to add an emotional value, which will be reasons for you to keep them longer. thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoy my work. always happy to receive new ideas, so feel free to get in touch.
