Kalisaya

kalisaya (or kallisaya) in the old inca language of aymara – means energy, such that radiates from the sun or a lightning, as well as the inner glow of a person. when conceptualizing and developing the kalipak®, the kalisaya team of industrial and product designers, engineers and entrepreneurs – envisioned a portable energy device, that will be autonomous, highly usable, portable and will respond to numeerous use cases where grid-based electric power is absent. we wanted to replace the diesel generator. we wanted to provide an immediate response to the first resource that is cut-off during a natural disaster – electricity. we wanted to connect people to outdoor experiences while providing them connectivity they are used to have while at home we wanted to connect people to each other - and to power – without affecting the environment, and with zero emissions.
