the origin of haus der kallistik is death and love. years end '19, covid-19, killed us: the arts, music and culture. we were left disoriented, confused, and the members of our collective experienced a sense of existential loss. we, like the rest of the world, found ourselves in a paralysis. a journey with an unknowable destination began. slowly we started to walk again. step by step, using crouches like going digital to counter our numbness. quickly we learned to make use of the pain - a, if not the, source for creation. in moments of darkness, when all else fails, we journey inward. our only light along this path is that which burns in our heart. to see beauty even in times of despair keeps us alive. κάλλιστα, kallista, the teaching of aestethics is focusing on experiencing the most beauty of the beautiful. subjectively we experience this beauty when we see, we hear, we feel, we taste and we smell. then, we are. as covid-19 continues to wreak havoc on the world, we invite you t
