kamohelo development foundation is a public benefit organization with the objective to empower the poorest young school children in south africa that are subject to poor systemic economic conditions with particular focus on beneficiaries that are learners from quintile 1, 2 and 3 schools. we aim to advance the educational interest of the children, by leveraging public and private sector partnerships to support government efforts through strategic interventions. kdf has identified a number of focus areas, aligned to addressing some of the key challenges in the education sector, in which we could make a significant contribution. these are: · literacy and numeracy - early childhood development (grade r) – capacity building and resource provisioning · school classroom resourcing – provision of resources in the form of mobile classrooms; mobile libraries; school furniture; stationery packs; uniforms etc. · school safety and branding · healt
