founded in 1952, kanmaki started out manufacturing the gold thread used in traditional kimono from kyoto. leveraging the technology we have cultivated over our many years in business, we are contributing to the creation of new markets by making unprecedented products. we aim to achieve a planning and development-based style in which we insatiably pursue the endless possibilities of color. this includes developing pigment foil that bestows functionality and establishing printing methods that substantially reduce the number of processes involved. we are able to focus on technical development in these new fields because we have a lab that is capable of responding flexibly to customizations and job-lot production. collaborating with companies exploring the possibilities of never-before-seen printing and coating, we will meet demand worldwide.
