since the 1880’s, engineers have searched for ways to generate electricity using the wind. kps is at the forefront of developing this concept further into a more cost effective solution. we are developing a twin-kite system that is reliable and efficient, capable of delivering clean, cheap energy at utility scale. we aim to provide energy at a lower cost than that of wind turbines, while using 85 per cent less material. crucially, we are designing our technology so we can access wind energy that conventional methods cannot: in deeper sea where turbines can’t be built; at higher altitudes where the winds are stronger; in remote areas and those affected by disasters that need emergency power supplies. backed by major international investors, we anticipate first revenues and multiple commercial deployments by 2023.
