based in stockport, i created kwhr in 2011 after working in human resources at senior management level for over 25 years. i realised that many small companies wanted to meet their legal and moral responsibilities towards their staff but were unsure where to get help and couldn’t justify the cost of employing an hr professional. there are a number of companies that sell remote hr systems with telephone support but i have found that that many small business owners prefer the human contact and reassurance from someone who works with them to understand their business. i offer a range of options from setting up a basic hr function with contracts of employment and staff handbooks to creating bespoke policies and procedures. i provide advice, guidance and hands on support to employers experiencing staff issues or those that want to create a positive, inclusive environment for their people to work in.
