luleå railway research centre (jvtc) is a nonprofit research center within luleå university of technology (ltu) with focus on research and innovation for operation and maintenance within the railway sector. jvtc provides a platform for effective interdisciplinary collaborations between universities, companies and authorities. the research aim is to achieve a resilient railway system with fewer disruptions by developing knowledge and expertise at the system level with regard to the specific impact goals and the existing regulatory framework within reliability, capacity, sustainability and safety where jvtcs expertise is focused on operation and maintenance.
