myratech.net plc history started in 1983 as a commercial spin-out for king edwards vi five ways school, birmingham. initially called five ways software, the company produced educational software for primary and secondary schools. the company was bought out by it's manager in 1989, and expanded into one of the uk's largest sage software resellers. in 1996, well before the internet was well known, the web factory birmingham was formed by it's owner. in 2000, the companies were combined into one company, myratech.net plc and was floated on the london stock exchange's alternative investment market (aim). over £5.2 million was raised, valuing the company at over £35 million. the original company is no longer trading.
