ocn (overseas chinese network) is a new place that enables people of chinese origin to share their stories. it’s simple, collaborative, and it helps you connect with like-minded fellows for whatever you have to share. ocn started as a social experiment in 2008, when a french-born chinese student realized the need for a global platform to connect and interact with chinese fellows. as overseas chinese, we are part of the largest human diaspora. at different points in time, millions of chinese people decided to leave home. each left for a different reason. we are the children or grand children of these migrants, or perhaps one of them. we may speak mandarin or a dialect, and for some of us, we simply do not speak any chinese. whether we are from first, second or third generation, we share similar roots and values but we all have experienced different lifestyles. never in history has the chinese diaspora been so geographically spread, and so culturally diverse and rich. how to connect the
