Own Your Own Universe

the oyou ("own your own universe") is a community arts center project based out of hays county, texas. with roots in san marcos, it’s a "get-it-done" grassroots operation that strives to get music and all things art into the ears and hands of folks that need it most. the oyou will one day be a sustainable, solar-powered and fully handicapped-accessible arts center featuring therapeutic gardens and all manner of programs, activities and events open to the entire community. imagine a venue where anyone — regardless of age or physical ability — can enjoy music, arts, crafts, and shows without the worry of social or mobility issues within the facility. imagine a place where anyone — regardless of income — can attend inspiring workshops on everything from organic gardening to music lessons. imagine a safe, nurturing environment where underprivileged or at-risk children can learn firsthand the joy and fullfillment of playing a musical instrument. the oyou will offer all of this and more. alt
