Ownership Appalachia, LLC

ownership appalachia is a worker-owned cooperative that fosters employee ownership and the development of cooperative enterprise in southern appalachia. ownership appalachia focuses first on the southern appalachian region and then throughout the south. our mission focus is in underserved, economically marginalized areas with low penetration by existing cooperative networks. need-based clients are those we work with in organizing & job creation in communities without access to traditional capital or employment for which we seek grant funding. self-funded clients include startup worker cooperatives and conversions (ie. startup new generation agricultural cooperatives) that are able to pay for services.
