i spent many years in the mineral and gas industry and even the defence force. i grew to dislike the “getting ready for work” ritual. putting on the same shirt and trousers, the same hard hat, gloves and boots as every other person on the worksite. i truly understand what it’s like to feel like a robot. a company number. another face to feed and another bare bum in the shower. i’m not going to make your day at work any safer, cleaner or the shift go any faster. all i want you to do is smile when you start that dreaded “getting ready for work” ritual. i want you to smile at your socks. i want to brighten your day. enjoy the colours, fun and silliness that’s with you all day long.
