Oxford Community Energy Co-Operative Inc.

the oxford community energy co-op (ocec) was conceived as a partnership project between prowind canada, ontario sustainability services and ipc energy in august 2013. on september 17th, the new co-op incorporated as a ‘for-profit co-operative with share capital’ with the financial services commission on ontario (fsco) under the name oxford community energy co-op inc. and established its head office in woodstock, on. the board of the oxford community energy co-op inaugurated with 7 directors on september 19th 2013 and the co-op shortly after was fully operational.the co-op since has attracted new members from the county as well as other areas of ontario and has and will continue to build it’s local membership and investor base. we are a renewable energy cooperative in which residents of oxford county and all of ontario are invited to become members to jointly create a more environmentally sustainable community without a need to compromise their investment objective for profit potential.
