the society's principle aim is to educate and inform professionals in and associated to the publishing industry in oxfordshire and surrounding areas. to that end we run an annual lecture series accompanied by a glass of wine and a networking opportunity. typically there are six events per annum. often these are hosted at headington hill hall on the oxford brookes university campus with the support of the school of publishing. past events has covered journals, open access, ebooks, supply chain, and doing business in china. forthcoming event ideas include international rights in october, transmedia event in november, digital update in january, green & clean: publisher's corporate responsibility in february and we are planning a publishing leaders panel.
