oxfordshire community land trust (oclt) is a community benefit society registered in 2006 and regulated by the financial conduct authority with charitable status. it is committed to creating permanently-affordable homes in the county of oxfordshire and has built up considerable capacity, networks and know-how in this approach. oclt have an option and planning permission for six affordable rental homes for people in housing need on a site in dean court, botley (in vale of white horse district council). having been on the point of becoming a registered provider (rp) with the homes and communities agency (hca) in march 2015, and with almost £1m of funding in place, oclt hit an unforeseen legal problem which put the project on hold. after a year of negotiation, involving the charity commission amongst others, oclt aims to go to site in 2017. oclt has a strong board and excellent governance arrangements due to the required preparation to register with the hca. it has also built up strong re
