Oxford University Synthetic Biology Society (synbio.oxford)

synbio.oxford is a student-driven society that promotes synthetic biology within oxford and the wider region. we host talks by leading international and local experts in synthetic biology and related fields. past speakers include ron weiss (mit), randy rettburg (igem) and tom ellis (imperial college). we also hold informal workshops and journal clubs, which have included presentations from bento bioworks and la paillase (a parisian biohacker group). the society also organizes outreach and engagement activities, such as public debates at the annual oxfordshire science festival. synbio.oxford is proudly sponsored by oxford genetics.
