Ozhelp Foundation

the ozhelp foundation began in 2001 after the suicides of three construction worker apprentices in the act. our main purpose is to prevent the suicide of working men in australia by providing mental health support and training. we meet in an informal way with workers at work sites through barbeques and field visits. these visits are designed to let workers know what support is available if they’re having a tough time, and also to give advice about how to help a mate if they’re struggling. our national office is in canberra, but our training and support services are also available throughout new south wales, the pilbara in western australia and darwin in the northern territory. we can also refer to other support organisations in the other states.
