the quality assurance agency for higher education (qaa) is the uk's independent quality body for higher education. qaa scotland (qaas) has devolved responsibility for the work of qaa in scotland. our work covers a broad range of enhancement and review activity to inspire an excellent student experience. we work closely with a number of partners to deliver the quality enhancement framework (qef) in scotland including: the scottish government; universities scotland; the scottish funding council; nus scotland; sparqs; the higher education academy; and with staff and students across scotland's 19 universities. we lead on the running two main aspects of the qef: enhancement themes and enhancement-led institutional review.
