qalisa foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on youth initiatives that make lasting contributions to under-resourced communities in africa. we strongly believe that an empowered youth will greatly and meaningfully contribute to an empowered africa. we empower africa's youth through academic support, sports development, life skills and personal mentorship. by helping our learners build a strong academic foundation to complement their extracurricular talents, we aim to help them understand the potential of education as a tool to change their lives. academic support: - we run after-school programmes which provide tutoring support to under-resourced high school learners (grades 8 - 12) on stem (sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects. by emphasizing the value of education combined with enrichment activities such as sports, we hope to foster a positive environment for youth in order to better prepare them for a chance at matriculation, tertiary educ
