director’s profile: i commenced my working life as a station hand on wa pastoral stations in the north-west of that state; i later qualified as a wool classer and subsequently became partner in synnot and dunbar, which was a substantial shearing contracting company whose area of operations focussed on the pilbara region of wa. i worked in the pastoral industry for 12 years and routinely interacted with pastoralists, the substantial shearing workforce & aboriginal stockmen. i entered the oil industry on barrow island wa in 1978. i formed qantoco in 2006, primarily as an entity to provide services to the australasian oil & gas industry after serving 36 years in the industry in western australia, south australia, the northern territory and queensland. during that period, i worked for west australian petroleum, halliburton, santos, innamincka petroleum and acer energy, the latter being taken over by drillsearch energy. i was also pipeline superintendent in qld where i dealt with pastoralis
