qlm was founded in 2010 developing out of the many years experience in accreditation and qualifications of its founder richard wingate. richard’s expertise in these areas developed out of his work at the college of north west london. on leaving the college he established ‘the training business’ in 1998 and for the next five years richard specialised in delivering ilm management qualifications alongside which he maintained his interest in the ‘quality’ aspect of qualification delivery through his work as an external verifier and later on as a regional manager for ilm. in 2003 richard’s partner sharon joined the business and ‘obsidian learning solutions’ (ols) was formed as a partnership. ols was incorporated in 2006 and following a major review in 2010 changes were made that included a new name to better reflect the companies offering and focus on accredited qualifications; qlm was born. qlm has since expanded its offering and in addition to the range of ilm leadership, management and
