queensland trust for nature (qtfn) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established to protect and enhance queensland’s biodiversity and natural landscapes. we work with landowners to build on their knowledge in a way that ensures and potentially enhances ongoing productivity. land management for conservation outcomes can be balanced with farm resilience and profitability over time. qtfn’s revolving fund buys land of environmental significance, negotiates a conservation agreement over the majority of the land, applies restorative management actions, resells the land on the public market and then reinvests the proceeds in further strategic purchases. qtfn has also successfully participated in land based environmental offsets and can work with project proponents to enable well managed, best practice offsetting of project impacts. all qtfn’s offset areas are designed to deliver koala habitat connectivity and optimal ecological benefit. areas that are used for offsets are permane
