the quapaw area council provides scouting opportunities across 39 arkansas counties in central, eastern, southwestern, and northeastern arkansas. over 8,300 youth are currently enrolled in scouting programs across the council. scouting uses the principals of the scout oath and scout law to instill values in young people to equip them to make ethical choices over the course of their lives. programs are age-appropriate and grade specific (cub scouting). programs offered include cub scouts (for boys 7-11), boy scouts (for boys 11-17), venturing (for boys and girls 14-20), and exploring (for boys and girls 14-20). all programs teach active citizenship, leadership development, and physical fitness. the quapaw area council also owns, operates, and manages the beautiful 3,200 acre gus blass scout reservation and camp rockefeller summer camp near damascus, arkansas. this property includes state-of-the-art campsites, equipment, and facilities including the donald w. reynolds scout training cent
