Quarporquartz

quarpor – minas e minerais, s.a. is a portuguese private company. originally called areais e britas da barca, lda., the company changed its name, in 2017, marking the beginning of a new cycle. from then on, quarpor started to work in the fields of quartz exploitation, extraction and transformation enhancing added value to the final product. the milky-looking quartz comes from virtuous mines located in the north region of portugal, more precisely in carrazeda de ansiães,which is part of the district of bragança. the exploitation and extraction takes place in open pit mines. the product is then transported to the industrial unity, located in amedo, where it is transformed until different particle sizes are obtained. quartz powders are also produced. if the quartz does not match the required quality standards it is transformed in different products, such as sand, gravel and others.
