Queen Anne Food Bank

history in february 2012, the queen anne food bank (qafb) opened its doors due to the overwhelming community response to the closing of saint vincent de paul meal program in november 2011. since our opening, the number of people we serve has continued to increase. each month we serve 2,500 sack lunches and 350 families in our food bank program. vision and values qafb envisions a community where no one goes hungry, and our neighbors in need have equitable access to enough healthy and wholesome food to meet their needs. qafb provides a safe and welcoming space, and service with respect and dignity. how to get involved there are many ways to support the food bank: volunteer with food bank operations coordinate a food drive advocate and raise awareness on the topics of hunger and homelessness of course, we welcome monetary contributions which, paired with our wholesale buying power, help us provide two meals per every dollar donated.
