Queen Elizabeth Centre (Qec)

for over 90 years the queen elizabeth centre (qec) has provided specialised care, support and guidance to help parents manage the many challenges that arise during early parenthood, from before birth to 4 years of age. qec advocates child focussed and family centred practices underpinned by a philosophy that family is the principal source of care for children. we offer services and programs that are culturally relevant and accessible to all clients. residential, day, group , home visiting and telephone advice services are delivered at qec’s noble park site or through regional outreach services. qec is a 42 bed public hospital registered by the department of health. it employs approximately 110 staff including maternal and child health nurses, midwives, psychologists, a medical officer, social workers, mothercraft nurses, early childhood workers and administrators. funding is received from state and government departments, philanthropic trusts, donations and the qec foundation. our visi
