the regional dance centre of eastern finland is an organisation whose mission is to support, both socially and financially, the visibility and development of dance as an art in eastern finland and to promote its availability and accessibility in the region, in order to enhance employment conditions for professional dancer artists and to encourage networking between dancers and other parties. the regional dance centre of eastern finland operates in northern savo, southern savo and north karelia. its objective is to strengthen the diversity of cultural services in the area as well as the role and accessibility of professional art as part of local culture. // itä-suomen tanssin aluekeskuksen (itak) tehtävänä on tukea aatteellisesti ja taloudellisesti ammatillisen tanssitaiteen tunnettuutta ja kehittymistä itä-suomessa sekä edistää tanssitaiteen saatavuutta ja saavutettavuutta alueella, lisätä tanssitaiteilijoiden työllistymisen yleisiä edellytyksiä ja edistää tanssitaiteilijoiden verkosto
