S-Wellesley
we are a group of 5th year masters students studying civil and structural engineering at heriot watt university. as part of our final year studies we are undertaking a project proposing a fully smart integrated community (incorporating the use of the internet of things (iot)) using modular construction techniques as a response to the uk’s housing crisis. we have researched an existing new build neighbourhood, wellesley, which we have used as our inspiration for our community. we want to share our progress during this project and interact with individuals on the existing smart technologies that can benefit new build communities that aren’t currently being optimised on sites within the uk. we would appreciate any advice, interaction or feedback with anyone interested in iot, smart cities and services or modular construction. please contact us by dropping a message or send an email to: s-wellesley@outlook.com.
