we are first and foremost lovers of anything that has to do with storytelling through a visual medium, be it classic works of art by dalí or monet, or modern comic books like swamp thing by alan moore and frank by jim woodring. as freshman year roommates at tulane university, we’d quickly bonded over our (almost) extreme passion for indie comix and dc’s high-flying heroes. after some time, we’d decided to use what we’ve learned on our respective career paths to chase our dream of creating high quality original stories for people to enjoy the world over. we as a company feel it in our hearts that the ongoing movement of increased artistic control by creators, without undue external influence, makes for excellent experiences in storytelling. some key examples that come to mind are fritz the cat by ralph bakshi, pom poko by hayao miyazaki, everything by alfred hitchcock, yojimbo by akira kurosawa, zap comix by robert crumb, and the contract with god trilogy by will eisner. s448 endeavors
