slattery & acquroff’s story began in 1920 when ted slattery and alec acquroff began a business in a south yarra stables. the two men were pioneers of the australian stairbuilding industry, and over the next 93 years the company, (through the guidance of second generation leaders jack acquroff & george beard followed by 3rd generation leaders robert acquroff & robert beard) have lead the way in technology, training and integrity and quality. their passion for high quality materials and craftsmanship resulted in a successful and enduring family business. from humble beginnings, slattery & acquroff has grown exponentially. generations of employees have worked alongside us and we now employ over 140 staff members with a collective 1100 years of experience in the stair building industry across victoria, queensland and south australia. our growth was achieved by consistently responding to our customers’ needs and aspirations. slattery & acquroff stairs, balustrades and handrails can now be f
