we don’t follow fashion we wanted to do something different. to design shirts that stood out from the crowd. one question perplexed us: why are there so many striped shirts, and checked shirts and polka dot shirts? can a polka dot really be the apex of design? a dot? so we looked around and found inspiration in the most obvious place. in the world around us. we found patterns in the malaria virus, in the human chromosome, in japanese gardens and in spiral galaxies. we looked where others haven’t. and in doing so we set ourselves one very simple test: is this design truly original?
