sbs private wealth management, inc. was founded in february of 2008 by james schmertmann, steve bush, and shane swift. the trio has worked as a team since 2003 at their prior firm of merrill lynch. early on, the team saw the need for specialization in various areas of financial advising, including investments, insurance, financial planning, and retirement plans. clearly, a single person cannot maintain a level of specialized experience and knowledge in all of these areas. as a result, the team began to sub-specialize and has continued to work in this capacity. under one roof, our specialists in financial planning, investments, and insurance form a cohesive team that has the skills and resources to guide you through all of life’s financial hurdles. from planning to implementation to ongoing monitoring, we’re here to help.
