Educational Development Center of Semnan University of Medical Sciences

semnan university of medical sciences (semums) is a prestigious university in iran located in the city of semnan, about 240 km east of tehran (the capital of iran). it was inaugurated officially in 1987 and began its activities under the supervision of tehran university of medical sciences and with 60 students to study medicine. in less than a year, medical school of semnan became semnan university of medical sciences. today, semums by big efforts ambitiously aims to educate students in various medical fields and levels. it is recognized as one of the most important centers in the provision of health services in the islamic republic of iran; also, in the higher goals of the university, it attempts to promote medical knowledge of the community and training specialized health staff.
