SJMF Foundation

sjmf - siempre juntos mas fuerte (together we are stronger) was founded in 2010 by a small group of dominican and canadian individuals with the hope of relieving poverty in san jose de ocoa and the surrounding areas. our main focus is fundraising money to build homes for small mountain villages outside the city of san jose de ocoa. our organization strives to impact the lives of everyone involved. not only do we have the opportunity to change the life of a family or community in the dominican republic, but we are also changed. while in the dominican, we live and breathe the dominican culture. we live in the communities we are building in, we eat the local food, and most importantly we gain an understanding of a culture very different than our own. as we always say, "two countries, one love." - sjmf
