slprd is a newly established research-oriented center formed by a group of sri lankan scientists and engineers who are actively engaged in research and development in lightning phenomena and lightning protection. the history of society’s scientific involvement dates back to late 1990s in different levels and is blessed with a highly skilled and qualified group of young scientists. the society has strong collaborations with world-renowned scientists and engineers, who are actively engaged in research and developments in the field of lightning protection. slprd also works closely with a number of international research groups and institutions in the field.
