jupiter theatre is an independent theatre company in calgary, ab.​ jupiter theatre creates original works of canadian theatre through highly visual, physical, and musical mediums. we seek to share powerful stories that explore the human condition and challenge audiences with contemporary social issues through visceral and innovative productions. in february and march 2019, we partnered with chimera theatre of kamloops, bc to present our debut production the robber bridegroom by the brothers grimm, adapted by the ensemble. the production brought new life to the classic brothers grimm fairy tale through puppetry and physical theatre in a dark adaptation that explored intuition and the uncertain nature of humanity. the production went on to tour across western canada later that year to critical success. the newly formed jupiter ensemble theatre syndicate developed their first piece, four, in november 2019. the premiere of the new mockus by george m. johnson was set to run in march and
