sogang university inherits the values of altruism, creativity, and excellence derived from catholic humanism, the educational ideology of jesuit university, and practices them in service, education, and research. based on the value orientation of jesuit universities and the history of more than 500 years, we intend to contribute to the common good of society and humanity by creating unique research results of sogang university. in response to this jesuit educational ideology, the theological research institute, an affiliated organization of sogang university, was launched in may 1975. since then, it was reorganized into the institute of religion and theology in 1984 with the aim of researching for the academic development of religion and theology and promoting mutual dialogue and understanding between korean religions and christianity. the religious theology research, a journal founded in 1988 by the institute of religion and theology, contains 192 papers, which can be called the be
