tournesol is a non-profit association. our mission is to contribute to making large-scale algorithms robustly beneficial. our main solution is a platform, available at tournesol.app. it is designed to collect a large number of contributors' judgments on what contents ought to be recommended at scale, because they are contents of public utility. contributors can share data in public or in private. the public database will be easily downloadable. we hope that this will motivate and accelerate research on robustly beneficial recommendation algorithms, and safe and ethical ai. we also hope that the tournesol's scores obtained by aggregating different contributors' judgments will be used to audit or improve today's recommendation algorithms.
