u1 research is a fresh company in many senses. it was founded in 2009, by members of a team that won, among others, the acm kdd cup in 2006. the team has five 1st prize, three 2nd prize, and 10+ best european team awards. our members are highly innovative and widely recognized young researchers who are looking forward to challenges, while pushing the limits of it technologies. we work on projects of ‘future technologies’, from research to market entrance, bringing them to completion in only a few months. currently, u1 research has 11 full-time and 2-5 part-time members, depending on the number of projects we are involved in. we work extremely fast and efficient. to mention a couple of examples, we put together a parser that translates natural language questions to sql queries in only 7 months; we completed a tv commercial auditing system in not more than two months, which entered the market in other 6 months. to make a pedestrian recognition framework, we only needed 6 weeks. we manage
