the university of manitoba indigenous commerce students (umics) is a student group for those who identify with or have a common interest in enhancing indigenous culture within the asper school of business. as business leaders, we aim to create a sense of community by forging partnerships with organizations within and surrounding the university of manitoba. what isn’t well known about our group is that it is not exclusive to students who identify as indigenous (first nations, métis, or inuit). anyone who shares our common interest in indigenous culture is welcome as a part of umics.
