we started with a simple notion—that buying and selling online should be safer and much more convenient. our phones are smart and smarter credit cards are the only cards being issued to consumers. yet headlines of stolen cards from large reputable brands are still far too common. online transactions pose “card-not-present” risk for consumers and merchants since credit cards are manually entered and often stored by merchants on their servers. these card-not-present transactions have fueled added security measures that have led to frustrating and laborious online forms and checkout steps. we are dedicated to fix this and untangle the tedious checkout process. for consumers, we’re pushing to make payments as simple as a “snap of the fingers” or a “tap of the smart card”. for sellers and merchants, we’re working hard on simple sdks that help increase sales and reduce costs by making card-not-present transactions much more present.
