the xavier’s association of chemistry (xac) is a chemistry enthusiasts’ club run by the students of the department of chemistry, st. xavier’s college, mumbai, with guidance from the faculty members. founded in 2003, we have come a long way. our aim is to foster curiosity for science in general, and chemistry in particular: to look within the ordinary to discover the extraordinary, to perceive science, not constricted to a field or subject, but as a vast all-encompassing domain of constant exploration. to make this dream a goal, each year, we conduct a myriad of exciting activities including guest lectures, student seminars, exhibitions, debates, quizzes, workshops, treks and industrial visits. our star event every year is alchemia, the all-chemistry fest inviting college students from all over the city to participate in a variety of exciting and educational activities. and to culminate all these dimensions of xac is our very own magazine the elemental, which serves our purpose of reac
