in order to better handle cultural clashes, i have developed a research-based tool "the culture tool" in four steps: 1. note what happened in the cultural encounter or in the cultural dilemma by asking questions such as: why is it a problem? for whom is it a problem? in what contexts is it a problem? then you note and explore the company's external environment (laws, rules, etc.) as well as the internal conditions such as company culture and policy. 2. interpret your own cultural values, norms and behavior. the ability to see oneself in perspective is important in order to be able to analyze one's own cultural starting point and perspective. 3. understand the other party's culture and its values, norms and behavior. the ability to challenge one's prejudices and capacity to change perspectives will be crucial. the change of perspective means that ´man analyzes the other's point of departure, how they look at us and how we perceive them. 4. respond respond here refers to choosing a
