xenotherapeutics inc. is a massachusetts company whose purpose is to bring lifesaving xeno technology from the laboratory to the patients who need it now. our initial breakthrough, xeno-skin, is a first of its kind humanitarian device for the treatment of severe burns and chronic wounds. burns are currently one of the most devastating types of injuries. xenotherapeutics will provide victims in both the u.s. and around the globe an affordable, safe, and plentiful treatment option for a critically unmet need. xeno-skin can serve as a replacement or a complement to the current “gold standard” of treatment: human cadaver allograft. however, unlike the limited quantity of lifesaving human graft material available, xeno-skin can be mass-produced, stored, and rapidly shipped when needed. ultimately, it will increase emergency preparedness for unexpected catastrophic events at home and fill current shortages experienced far too frequently around the world today.
