grønvold & schou grønvold & schou blev stiftet i 1873 og er én af de ældste virksomheder i slagelse. grønvold & schou blev grundlagt, da købmand carl grønvold og tømmerhandler h.j. schou slog deres forretninger sammen og stiftede grønvold & schous trælasthandel. virksomheden omfattede dengang også et stort savværk og et forgylderi. i 1877 blev i.ø. andresen fra lollands sukkerfabrik optaget som kompagnon og under hans ledelse voksede virksomheden. virksomheden lå på jernbanegade, dér hvor vestsjællandscentret ligger i dag. i 1967 flyttede grønvold & schou til den nuværende placering på sorøvej. i 1903 blev i. ø. andresens legat for nakskov og slagelse stiftet og i. ø. andresens legat har siden da altid været medejer af og hovedaktionær i grønvold & schou a/s. i 1976 blev gørlev trælast tilkøbt og i 2018 blev hørve byggecenter tilkøbt. virksomheden driver i dag fortsat forretning i både slagelse, gørlev og hørve. grønvold & schou er en moderne virksomhed og vi arbejder hele tiden
